Oral medicine is a dental division that is concerned with the health of the oral cavity and the diagnosis and management of diseases of the oral and para oral structures. It includes the diagnosis and medical management of diseases specific to the orofacial tissues and oral manifestations of systemic diseases. It further includes the management of behavioural disorders and the oral and dental treatment of medically compromised patients.
